Warranty

This Limited Warranty is provided by Balsam Brands Inc. (“Distributor”), the official global licensee of GE holiday lighting and décor products. 

This warranty applies to GE holiday lighting products intended for residential seasonal use and limited to 90 days per year. The warranty period and product-specific terms vary by product type as described below. Refer to your product’s packaging to confirm the warranty period that applies to your purchase. If your packaging is unavailable, customer service may determine the applicable period based on product UPC. 

This Limited Warranty applies only to products purchased in the United States. 

HOLIDAY LIGHTS — 2 OR 3 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Holiday lights are covered by a Limited Warranty for 2 or 3 years from the date of original purchase, depending on the product. The applicable warranty period is stated on the product packaging and may also be confirmed by contacting customer service. The Limited Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. 

Products sold with accessories (such as clips and stakes): All accessories are guaranteed only for the first holiday season following purchase. 

LED light sets with non-replaceable lights: Due to the unique construction of these light sets, the individual LEDs are not replaceable. The light set is designed for continued operation even if an individual LED fails to light. An LED that fails to light does not create safety issues and does not constitute a defect in the overall light set and is therefore not subject to a warranty claim.

ARTIFICIAL CHRISTMAS TREES — 3 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Artificial Christmas trees are covered by a Limited Warranty for 3 years from the date of original purchase. The Limited Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Specifically, the following components are covered: factory installed lights (excluding burned-out bulbs), frame, foliage, hinges, and tree stand. 

The Limited Warranty does not apply to floor models or display trees. 

WARRANTY REMEDY (ALL PRODUCTS)

If a covered defect occurs during the Limited Warranty period, Distributor will, at its sole option and subject to the exclusions below: (a) repair the product with new or refurbished parts; (b) replace the product with the same or an equivalent product; or (c) if the product cannot be repaired or replaced, refund the purchase price (excluding any shipping fees paid) or issue a merchandise credit through the retailer from which the product was originally purchased, in an amount not to exceed the original purchase price. A replacement part or product assumes the remaining warranty of the original purchase.  

HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE (ALL PRODUCTS)

To obtain warranty service, contact customer service at customerservice@geholiday.com or call 1-800-352-5442. You must provide your original proof of purchase and the product UPC. At Distributor’s discretion, you may be required to submit clear photographic or video evidence of the defect, participate in a brief video verification call with a service representative, or return the product for inspection before a replacement, refund, or merchandise credit is issued. Warranty claims may be denied if required documentation, verification, or returned product is not provided. Please allow four (4) to six (6) weeks for warranty processing after receipt of all required information and materials have been received. 

EXCLUSIONS (ALL PRODUCTS)

The Limited Warranty excludes burned-out bulbs, batteries (if applicable), and normal wear and tear, and will be voided in cases of damage due to misuse, neglect, intentional alteration, or other events beyond our reasonable control. For products sold with accessories (such as clips and stakes), all accessories are guaranteed for the first season only. The Limited Warranty may not be transferred and applies only to the original owner of the product. This warranty does not apply to commercial, rental, institutional, or non-seasonal use. 

REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE CONSUMER. THE DISTRIBUTOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
